In a momentous occasion graced by the esteemed Dr. Farhan Essa, President of the Pakistan-U.S Alumni Network Karachi Chapter & CEO of Dr. Essa Laboratory & Diagnostic Centres, the atmosphere was charged with anticipation and ambition.
The event wasn’t just an orientation; it was a portal to boundless opportunities and transformative education for individuals armed with at least five years of professional experience and 16 years of formal education.

At the meeting, HGSWO introduced its newly appointed team and shared its projects and past activities with the heads of the federation units. Various thoughts and suggestions were presented by the heads of different federating units, and HGSWO shared its planning for the upcoming event, where everyone agreed to support and make the upcoming event successful.

The gathering was not just a meeting but a beacon of hope and unity for our community.
Our Chairman, along with dedicated members, laid out our vision and plans, aiming to foster growth and well-being within Metroville. In turn, the local leadership, with great openness, shared the pressing issues and challenges faced by the area.

It was a night of earnest discussions and mutual understanding. Together, we have pledged to embark on a journey of collective action, aiming to address and overcome the challenges at hand.
We are excited about this new chapter of collaboration between HGSWO and the Metroville leaders. This partnership promises not just to address the current issues but to lay the groundwork for a sustainable and prosperous future for all.

The event drew over 50+ students from Gilgit-Baltistan & Chitral residing in Karachi. Internationally recognized and “Top Rated” freelancers from GBFA provided valuable insights, addressing challenges, opportunities, and unveiling secrets to success in the online freelancing industry.

Reflecting on the success of the Freelancing Seminar, heartfelt thanks were extended to all participants, speakers, and donors for contributing to an enriching journey toward professional excellence. Here’s to a future filled with freelancing triumphs.
The Chairman Mr. Karim Ullah Rozik of HGSWO emphasized the need for similar bootcamps for Karachi’s youth, underscoring the pivotal role village organizations can play in engaging youth in legal and effective freelancing practices. Expressed gratitude for the collaboration and conveyed plans to host similar camps in the future. Special appreciation was reserved for GBLA Mr. Rehman and his dedicated team for providing skill-based training in the area.
The newly elected cabinet shared their plans for their portfolios with the audience. The session concluded with a vote of thanks by Vice President HGSWO Mr. Nowshad.

Hunza Gilgit Social Welfare Organization HGSWO organizes a day long career guidance workshop https://hunzawelfare.org/2022/12/27/career-guidance/ Tue, 27 Dec 2022 16:45:54 +0000 https://hunzawelfare.org/?p=7592 Karachi: Hunza Gilgit Social Welfare Organization HGSWO organized a day long career counselling for the youth of Gilgit Baltistan and Chitral based in Karachi.  Around 200 youth and professionals participated in this very engaging session at Nizari Community Hall on December 2022.

Guest Speakers included : Dr. Fozia Parveen (Assistant Professor AKU-IED), Dr. Salman Shehzad (Associate Professor ICP-University of Karachi), Rizwan Karim (Director PCM-AKUH), Basharat Issa (Lecturer Habib University), Iqbal Barcha ( Trainer, IBA and Szabist), Abbas Ali (CEO Hunza Delight), Izzat Bibi (CEO and Co-founder Chkar.Com), Nosheen Barkat (CEO Co-founder Asqurr), Col. Mehar Ali Baig and Col. Safder Ali Khan spoke at the workshop.
